How to Find Contact People by Job Title, Industry, or Location
- Change the Search Type to "Job Title"
- Under Keywords, enter one or more keywords describing a single job title. Do not enter abbreviations or acronyms. Examples of good keywords:
- Chief Executive Officer
- Marketing
- Technology
- Financial
- etc...
- Click once on the "Jump" button to perform the search
- A list of contact people will appear that match your search criteria. You will probably want to narrow your search.
To narrow your search by Industry:
- Enter a 4-digit SIC Code in the field labeled 'Narrow Search by SIC Code'
- Click the "Narrow Search" button
To narrow your search by Location:
- To the right of 'Narrow Search by', select whether you want to narrow by ZIP Code or Area Code
- Enter a ZIP Code or Area Code in the empty field to the right of the above
- Click the "Narrow Search" button
- To copy these contacts to the Windows Clipboard, and then paste them into Excel (or any other program), do the following: (note that you can only copy one page at a time, currently)
- Click once on the first person in the list
- Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard
- Click once on the last person in the list
- Click the "Copy" button once
- The contents of the list are now in the Windows Clipboard, an invisible memory buffer. You can now Paste the contents of the Clipboard into any other application.
