How to Find Companies in a Specific Geographic Region

Sales people, we hear you! Here's how to prospect by location with 1Jump (Note that you can also do this effectively -- perhaps even more effectively -- using the 1Jump Directory!)

Method 1: Searching by Area Code

  1. Change the Search Type to "Area Code"

  2. Under Keywords, enter a valid telephone area code. Examples of valid searches:
    • 212
    • 202
    • 802
    • etc...

  3. Click once on the "Jump" button to perform the search

  4. Double-click on each company of interest. When you do this, two things will happen:
    1. That company will become the current company, and the "Click for Content" area in 1Jump will refresh and display available information on the company.
    2. The company's web site will open in the Web browser section of 1Jump

Method 2: Searching by ZIP Code

  1. Change the Search Type to "Postal Code"

  2. Under Keywords, enter a valid ZIP or postal code.

  3. Click once on the "Jump" button to perform the search

  4. Double-click on each company of interest. When you do this, two things will happen:
    1. That company will become the current company, and the "Click for Content" area in 1Jump will refresh and display available information on the company.
    2. The company's web site will open in the Web browser section of 1Jump

Method 3: Searching by City Name

  1. Change the Search Type to "City"

  2. Under Keywords, enter a name of a city or town.

  3. Click once on the "Jump" button to perform the search

  4. A list of matches will appear. Select the one you want by double-clicking it.

  5. A list of companies will appear in that city

  6. Double-click on each company of interest. When you do this, two things will happen:
    1. That company will become the current company, and the "Click for Content" area in 1Jump will refresh and display available information on the company.
    2. The company's web site will open in the Web browser section of 1Jump
